As we get ready to turn the calendar to December, the HOA board is not taking time off! The new year ahead will be an exciting one for all of us (we hope).

Internet – For those of you who are still dealing with internet issues, please contact Fiber Fast Homes directly. They have a new router system that will dispose of the “octagon puck.” A newer router will be installed for you. This is a free upgrade if you are having issues with your internet. It does not solve all of the issues, but it is a good start.

Street Lamps – We have been in contact with the BEMC who are responsible of the installation of our street lights. We are in the queue. They have received a shipment of light posts and are starting to schedule installations. We hope to see these installed within a few weeks, but we have heard this before.

Drainage ponds – Brunswick county recently inspected all of the ponds. The HOA president walked with the BC inspector. Dream Finders is being held responsible for several pond repairs that were not done adequately. At this time, they are working to get these up to state code.

Along with this inspection it was brought to our attention that rocks have been tossed into some of the drainage pipes. Please know that we are responsible for these and not Dream Finders. Please make sure our kids know that the drainage areas should not be played in.

Speeding – This is still a MAJOR issue and honestly, I can not express that any bolder. The community speed limit is 15 miles per hour. We have recently had homeowner running through our neighborhood at speeds in excess of 30 MPH. This has to stop and if it doesn’t, we will have to look for alternative options to reduce the speed within our community.
