Ahhh, the fresh smell of spring also brings the dreaded green haze of pollen! There isn’t much we can do to keep the green off our homes and vehicles; it is a reminder that spring is almost here.
That is important for many reasons. Obviously, we tend to get out more when the weather is nice. Soon it will be the middle of summer, and we will all be praying for rain and cooler temperatures. That makes the months of March and April so valuable.
We need to remind everyone that we typically do not issue home infraction citations. That is done by Premier Management, which is why we pay them. With the weather getting nicer, we are more likely to start getting those notifications about our homes and yards.
Mowing
The first thing that stands out is our yards. In some cases, it’s time to start cutting our grass. There are people in the community who are willing to help or provide the services. You can reach out to others in the neighborhood for recommendations.
We also need to be aware that our front gardens will need to be tended to. These areas often bring fine notifications as well. Please be sure to pull weeds as needed to keep the mulch areas clean.
Houses
Believe it or not, maintaining your home’s appearance is also a responsibility. That means making sure the outside of your home (siding) is clean. Pressure washing this time of year will help you get ahead of the summer and avoid Premier notifications.
We have someone in the community who offers pressure washing if you need it. Please reach out to a board member or ask someone in the community to direct you to others who may also be able to do it.
The board does not endorse specific individuals or their companies, but can provide you with their contact information upon request.
Please remember that the board is not out to cause you unwarranted stress. If we see something that might draw the attention of Premier Management, we will let you know, but once they have issued a letter, we can’t fix it. In every case, you will receive a warning, not a fine. That comes later, should the problem not be resolved.
