We are all different, and we all have different priorities in our own lives. For the most part, this community does well to respect those around them, but not always.
Over the last year, we have continued to receive complaints about neighbors running over yard lights, kids kicking lights, and kids running through front yards and backyards. As parents, we are responsible for what our kids do when running around the neighborhood.
The best option is to teach our children to respect the property of others. Remember, kids don’t realize that someone else’s yard is not their personal playground. We need to remind ourselves of this.
Unfortunately, it is not just the kids. This community will retain its value if we take care of it. There are cigarette butts all over the side of the streets. We expect homeowners with pets to clean up after themselves, so if you are walking (or driving) and throwing your butts out the window or onto the ground, pick them up. It’s not the job of others to be your caretaker.
Unfortunately, if this doesn’t stop, the HOA board members will need to adopt a resolution that will most likely include fines. Just field-strip it and put it in a bag! PLEASE!
Finally, if you are having issues with your neighbor, it is important that you reach out to them directly to resolve the issue. Members of the board will help where we can, but these types of issues are not something we should be handling.
The best and easiest way to deal with problems is to confront them.
